Rosacea is a skin condition that mainly affects the face. It may get appear as a regular face flush, but there are differences you should be aware of. Flushing comes and goes, clearing within a few hours or less. With rosacea, signs include: flushing occurring longer, a warm sensation, acne-like breakouts, visible blood vessels, changes to your eyes, thickening skin, dryness and itching.
Rosacea can be mistaken for acne, sunburns, rosy cheeks or a skin reaction which is why it’s important to pay attention when the symptoms occur. Rosacea is typically triggered by many things which may include sunlight, skin and hair products, medications, stress, and diet. If you notice the flare-ups are triggered by an event, then it might be Rosacea.
It’s important to treat Rosacea as soon as possible to prevent it from worsening as the worse it gets the more difficult it becomes to treat.
